Why we love it
Warm, tonal and deliberately restrained. This arrangement sticks to a tight palette of blush, dusty pink, cream and white, letting the flower shapes do the work.
Café au lait dahlias are the centrepiece - three generous heads with layers of hand-painted petals in pale pink and cream that capture the most sought-after cut dahlia in the world. They are one of those flowers that fresh flower buyers queue for in season and mourn when it ends.
Beside them, dusty pink dahlias bring a completely different character with their fine, spiky petals radiating outward in a muted pink-mauve tone. The contrast between the two is what gives this arrangement its depth.
Blush pink roses and a rose bud sit lower with hand-curved petals, realistic thorns and the kind of petal variation that makes each one look individually cut. A white oncidium orchid rises above with arching sprays of tiny white blooms that add height and refined movement.
White lilac fills the mid-section with soft, clustered flowers, and willow eucalyptus provides the foliage with its elegant green-grey leaves.
At 80cm tall and 70cm wide, it works beautifully on a kitchen island, dining table or living room side table. A clear glass vase shows the stems, which adds to the freshly cut feel.
