About our flowers
Do they really look real?
That's the whole point of what we do. Our flowers are designed to be exceptionally realistic - hand-finished, with the petal detail, colour variation and natural movement of the real thing. Most people can't tell until they're right up close, and plenty of our customers tell us their guests reach out to touch them before they realise. If realism is what you're after, it's what we've spent over a decade getting right.
What are they made from?
It varies by flower, because different blooms need different materials to look convincing. Many are made from coated fabric or moulded to replicate petals precisely, while some of our more delicate flowers, like tulips and lilies, use a soft foam to capture that particular softness. Every stem has a wire core, which lets you bend, curve and shape it.
Are silk flowers and faux flowers the same thing?
"Silk flowers" is an older term for artificial flowers, from the days when they were commonly made from silk. Today's are made from far more advanced materials, which is why the good ones look so much more realistic than the silk flowers you might remember. Ours are faux flowers in the truest sense: designed to look real, built to last.
How long will they last?
Years, not days. With a little care, our flowers hold their colour and shape for years, rather than the week you'd get from fresh ones. Keeping them out of harsh direct sunlight and giving them the occasional dusting is all it really takes. Our care guide covers everything.
Do they have a scent?
No, our flowers aren't scented. It's one of the trade-offs of faux, though many customers see it as a benefit if they're sensitive to the strong perfume of some fresh flowers. If you'd like a little scent, a light spritz of a room fragrance nearby does the trick without going near the petals.
Can I use them outside?
They're designed for indoor use. Our flowers aren't made to withstand the weather, and prolonged sun and rain will fade and damage them over time, so we'd always recommend keeping them indoors where they'll stay looking their best.
Caring for your flowers
How do I clean them?
A gentle dusting every few weeks keeps them looking their best - a soft cloth, a feather duster, or a hairdryer on a cool, low setting all work well. For marks, a damp cloth or baby wipe usually lifts them. Avoid harsh cleaners and sprays. Our care guide has the full details.
Can I put them in water?
For an uncut, plastic-coated stem, yes - the base is sealed, so a little water in a clear glass vase is fine and can add to the effect.
If you've cut a stem, reseal the cut end first (clear nail varnish works well) before it goes near water, or the exposed wire can rust.
Delicate foam stems, such as tulips and lilies, shouldn't ever go in water.
If you'd rather not risk it, pebbles or beads in the base of a glass vase give the same finished look with none of the fuss.
Our care guide has more information on this subject.
Will they fade?
Only if they're left in harsh, direct sunlight for a long time - UV rays are what dulls colour eventually. Kept out of a strong south-facing window, or turned occasionally, they'll hold their colour for years.
How do I make them look their best when they arrive?
Faux flowers are packed compactly to protect them in transit, so they need a few minutes of shaping once they're out of the box: opening the petals, fanning the foliage and curving the stems. It makes all the difference.
Our unboxing guide walks you through it step by step.
Vases & styling
Do you sell vases?
We do. All of our vases are handmade in Europe from handblown glass or ceramic and designed to perfectly complement our stems & arrangements.
You'll find them in our vases collection.
What kind of vase works best?
A vase with a wider body and a narrower neck is the most forgiving, because the neck gathers the stems and holds them in place for you. Beyond that, it's about scale and finish to suit the spot.
Our styling guide goes into how to choose and arrange.
How many stems do I need?
It depends on the size of your vase and the look you're after - a wider neck needs more stems to fill it.
If you'd rather not work it out, our arrangements come ready-designed by our in-house florist, so the balance is already done for you.
How do I cut or bend the stems to fit?
For an opaque vase, simply bend the stems to length so you can reshape and reuse them later.
For a clear glass vase where the stems show, trim them with wire cutters, never scissors, as every stem has a wire core.
Our styling guide covers the method.

My order has arrived damaged - what do I do?
We're sorry if something's arrived less than perfect.
First, it's worth knowing that flowers often look a little flat or compact straight from the box - they're packed tightly to protect them, and a few minutes of gentle shaping usually brings them back to life, so it's always worth trying that first.
If a stem is genuinely damaged or faulty, get in touch with your order number and a photo, and we'll put it right straight away.
If your question isn’t answered here, we’re always happy to help.
