Why we love it
This arrangement has 12 different stem types, and almost everything is green.
The pale, lime-toned hydrangeas provide volume with their generous, dried-look heads, and a green ranunculus spray introduces the smallest hint of blush to keep the palette from being completely monochrome. Beyond that, it's all foliage, and the variety is what makes it special.
Bracken fern reaches outward with fine, feathered fronds. Tall eucalyptus rises up one side while shorter eucalyptus fills the middle with its silvery discs. Green viburnum adds a soft, airy cluster.
Pussy willow brings its tactile brown buds on tall stems. Lamb's ear and senecio leaf contribute silvery, velvety tones that cool the greens down. Nettle leaf and ficus fill in with deeper, glossier foliage. Foxtail grass gives the top a wispy, meadow quality.
At 80cm, it has real scale and spread. The shape is loose and asymmetric, fanning outward rather than sitting in a neat dome. It needs a round or bulb-shaped vase to anchor it properly and a spot where it can extend without being hemmed in. Living rooms, open hallways, or kitchen islands with space to spare.
