Back to school, back to work, can you still remember your summer holiday?!
My fondest memory of the summer was my first trip to the Chesapeake Bay where my daughters mastered the art of the cartwheel and the hula-hoop and I admired the prevalent displays of
hydrangeas in full bloom. Driving around was a visual feast of large sumptuous blooms and it seemed that the summer uniform of choice for any self-respecting house on Gibson Island was a large hydrangea bush or five by the veranda. But that's where the uniformity ended because the variety on display was spectacular. From the purest white to fresh greens and blues and soft pinks, mophead, lacecaps and paniculatas, bushes and trees. It was all there.
